Engage with your audience on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter. Remember to put the emphasis on social, less so on the media. We can help help get you started quickly and grow from there.
Facebook owns Instagram, with crossover marketing & advertising opportunities. While it's possible to cross-post the same content from one to the other, there's value in crafting posts specific to each platform. SMBworks will help, as needed, with everything from profile setup & branding, to content calendar planning, to advertising audience creation. Get help with boosting/promoting posts and with Facebook's multiple creative campaign tools.
LinkedIn continues to invest in in improvements to their company page experience and in DIY advertising. Invest in your company profile to encourage LinkedIn professionals to work with and for you.
The short-form posts of Twitter make it an ideal platform to share what's new and now for your company. Let's optimize your profile, then build some lists and searches to help you find opportunities.
Keeping up with activity on and across platforms can be daunting. Hootsuite is a time-saver tool that can bring together all your profiles, posts, lists, searches, etc. Use the free version on your own or a paid plan to collaborate with your team. Take advantage of the calendar view to see what content is scheduled to post, to which network(s), and when. You can save searches, either following a hashtag or keywords, to learn from what others (including partners and competitors) share and to contribute to a discussion.
Want an even simpler scheduling tool? Buffer connects to your network profiles and creates a number of scheduled slots for posts to them. Add or modify your daily schedule at will. Then, as you create or discover content you wish to share, buffer it to your schedule for automated posting throughout the day and week.
Whether you post to networks directly or with the aid of an automation tool, make sure your team is set up to receive notifications of reactions, shares, replies—any engagement on your posts. Again, social comes first.
This will depend on where your target audience spends its time. Are they on TikTok? Clubhouse? Don't spread yourself too thinly. Choose networks where you can and will be active.
Post the kind of content your target audience finds interesting. You can test content on social, like you would in any other marketing channel. Follow a hashtag that interests you, in your field, and reply to or retweet posts. Don't expect to go viral and don't "buy" followers. Everyone starts from zero and, with some effort, makes connections.
